Ember Chimney & Fireplace, Colleyville office 97 Village Ln, Suite 300, Colleyville, TX 76034 (817) 809-2184 Open 24 hours, 7 days a weekEuless is two cities when it comes to chimneys. South and central Euless, the streets around Heritage Park, Midway Park and the older blocks off Euless Boulevard, were built in the 1960s and 1970s with brick masonry chimneys and clay tile liners. North Euless, from the Villages of Bear Creek and Bear Creek Estates to Glade Parks and Arbor Creek, was built from the 1990s on with factory-built fireplaces inside framed chases. Both are now at an age where the yearly inspection finds something worth a photo, and a sweep with a photo report costs the same for either.
Ember Chimney & Fireplace sweeps Euless fireplaces from our Colleyville office at 97 Village Ln, about 12 minutes north on Highway 26 or Main Street. The sweep clears creosote from the flue, the smoke chamber and the firebox with rotary rods and a HEPA vacuum, with the opening sealed and drop cloths from the front door to the hearth. That is the Zero-Mess Guarantee on every chimney sweep.
The safety inspection and photo report are included. On a masonry chimney the technician photographs the crown, mortar joints, flashing, cap and the visible flue; on a factory-built unit, the refractory panels, damper, flue, chase cover and termination cap. You see the photos before the technician leaves, and any repair gets a free written estimate with the $149 credited toward it for 30 days.
A Level 2 camera inspection is the one to book when buying or selling a Euless home, after a chimney fire or a lightning strike, and when a fireplace is being converted from wood to gas or back. It is also the right call for any 1960s or 1970s chimney that has never had one: cracked clay tiles and missing mortar joints do not show from the firebox. NFPA 211 calls for Level 2 in each of those situations. A chimney inspection on its own is $69; the camera inspection is quoted when you book.
The repairs we do most in Euless are water repairs: crowns rebuilt, mortar joints repointed, flashing resealed or replaced, chase covers replaced on factory-built chimneys, and caps installed on flues that never had one. Brick and stone work falls under masonry repair. Flues that fail the camera inspection get a stainless steel liner through chimney relining. Every repair starts with the photo of the problem and a written price. See chimney repair, and the cost guide on how much chimney repair costs for the ranges DFW homeowners see.
Bear Creek runs through the north side of Euless, and the raccoons and squirrels that live along it look for open flues every fall. A chimney cap installation keeps them out, along with rain and sparks, for less than most homeowners expect; the cost guide on chimney cap prices covers the ranges. If something has already moved in, we remove the nest and sanitize the firebox before the sweep.
We repair gas fireplaces and gas log sets (pilots, burners, valves, thermocouples, glass) and install new vented and vent-free gas log sets and inserts. See fireplace repair and fireplace installation, and the cost guide on gas log installation. Wood-burning fireboxes with cracked firebrick are repaired under fireplace repair as well.
Add a dryer vent cleaning to any Euless sweep: from $79 for a basic cleaning and inspection on a run up to 5 feet, with a free estimate for longer runs. The post on how to tell a dryer vent is clogged lists the signs.
Our trucks are in these parts of Euless (76039, 76040) every week. If your neighborhood is not listed, it is still covered: the whole city is inside the Colleyville office's service area.

Look inside the firebox. Firebrick laid in a pattern with mortar joints means masonry. Smooth panels with a faint brick pattern pressed into them, and a metal plate or label inside the opening, means factory-built. Both get the same sweep and inspection; the technician checks different parts on each.
Usually, after an inspection. A long-unused flue often has a bird nest or debris in it, a stuck damper, and in older Euless homes a cracked crown that has been letting water in. The sweep clears it and the photos show whether anything needs repair before the first fire.

★★★★★
Honest inspection with photos of the cap issue. No scare tactics, fair price, and they beat the written quote I had from another company.
★★★★★
Inspection was thorough. Got photos of liner wear and a written plan. Felt like a neighbor helping, not a sales pitch.
★★★★★
Had animals in the flue — new cap install was quick and the price matched what they quoted on the phone. Professional crew.
